Project time tracking

How much did that client cost you?

Clockify tells you how much time you spent. WiseData Time tells you whether it was worth it.

Log your team's hours, attach a value to each one, and see — client by client — who turns a profit and who doesn't.

The problem

You sell time. But do you know what each client costs?

We put 200 hours into that client's project and charged R$ 50k. Was that good business?
Without hours tied to money, there's no way to answer. And without an answer, you can't fire a bad client or justify a raise for a good one.

Pricing by gut feel

The proposal comes out of an estimate nobody checks once the project is over.

Invisible losses

A project can burn twice the hours it was scoped for without anyone noticing in time.

Spreadsheets filled in from memory

The team forgets to log, and at month's end somebody rebuilds the week off the top of their head.

Renewals with no argument

When it's time to raise the rate, there isn't a single number to put on the table.

How it works

Three steps between the hour and the answer

Each one solves part of the problem. Together, they answer the question at the top of this page.

  1. The team logs the hours

One-click timer, or log it manually later. Every hour is tied to a client and a project, and marked billable or not.

  2. Each hour gets a value

Set a default rate and override it per person, per client or per project. The rate is stored on the logged hour, so old reports never change on their own.

  3. The number shows up

What the client earned you per hour worked, how much of that time was billable, and which projects blew past their budget.

What's ready

The whole product, from day one

There's no cut-down version waiting on a later release. Our argument against the competition is precisely that they ship half a product.

A timer that doesn't fail

One-click start and stop, a keyboard shortcut, and a timer visible on every screen that keeps running when you switch devices.

Works with no internet

Lost connection? Hours keep being logged and upload themselves once you're back online. No entry is ever dropped silently.

Weekly timesheet

The whole week in a project-by-day grid, editable right in the cell, with daily totals and retroactive fixes.

Unlimited clients and projects

Client, project and optional task, plus free-form tags for the categories that don't fit the hierarchy.

Billable or not

Marked per entry, with a default you set per project, and reports that keep the two apart.

Reports and exports

Filter by period, client, project, person or tag, send someone the link, and export to CSV, PDF or Excel.

Profitability per client

Potential revenue against agreed revenue, hour efficiency, and the effective hourly rate of every client.

Hour budgets with alerts

Alerts at 80% and 100% of the budget, plus the projected date you'll blow past it at the current pace.

Reports carrying your brand

Your logo and your colour on the PDF that goes to the end client. No mention of WiseData anywhere on it.

Real cost and margin

Hourly cost per person, real project cost, margin in reais and as a percentage, and the list of projects in the red.

Period approval

Draft, submitted, approved. An approved period locks editing — for administrators too.

Roles and multiple workspaces

Owner, administrator and member, with separate workspaces for operations that shouldn't mix.

The detail that decides it

If the timer fails, nothing else matters

A timer that won't start is the number one complaint in this category — and it's the pain that made us build this product the way we did. There's one rule here: a logged hour is never dropped silently.

  • No internet, no problem

Hours are held on your device and upload in order as soon as the connection returns.

  • You always know the state

Synced, pending or failed — it's on screen. Nothing happens invisibly.

  • Nothing lost, nothing doubled

If the same hour gets sent twice, it's recognised and updated instead of becoming a duplicate entry.

  • Errors become a screen, not a log

If an entry can't upload, you see why, fix it and resend. There is no discard option.

The metric that changes the conversation

Effective hourly rate

It's agreed revenue divided by total hours — not billable hours. That's the calculation that exposes the client who looks great on paper and is poor in practice, because they eat up meetings, rework and hand-holding nobody bills for.

An example, in round numbers

Project on a fixed fee of
R$ 50,000
Budgeted hours
150h
Hours actually logged
200h
Effective hourly rateR$ 250

33% over budget. Put two clients side by side and it becomes obvious which one is subsidising the other.

Frequently asked

What people ask before subscribing

Can WiseData Time be used as a clock-in system?

No. It measures time spent on projects and clients in order to calculate profitability. It does not record working hours for labour-law purposes, does not comply with Brazil's Ordinance 671, does not issue attendance sheets and is not a REP-P device.

Is there a free plan?

There is no free plan. What there is: a 30-day trial on the most complete plan, Enterprise, with no credit card required. At the end you choose the plan that fits — moving down to Starter or Pro is the normal path.

Do I need a minimum number of users?

No. You pay for the seats you use, starting at one. A pending invitation doesn't occupy a seat, and the same person in two workspaces counts only once.

How does billing work?

Per seat, in Brazilian reais. The annual price is around 20% cheaper than monthly. Before you confirm a new invitation, the team screen already shows what the bill will become.

Does it work without internet?

It does. Hours keep being logged when the connection drops and upload themselves once it returns. The screen always shows whether anything is pending, and no entry is dropped without you knowing.

Is there a mobile app?

The iPhone and Android apps are in development and will include the timer, manual entry, retroactive editing, read-only reports and full offline operation. In the meantime, the web product works on mobile.

If I change someone's rate, do old reports change?

No. The rate in force is stored on each logged hour. Recalculating a period is an explicit action with a confirmation step — a financial report that changes on its own destroys trust in the product.

What happens if I move to a simpler plan?

Nothing is deleted. Recorded costs stay stored and are simply hidden; workspaces beyond the first are blocked, not removed; and approved periods stay approved. Before you confirm, you see the list of what stops being accessible.

Do you integrate with Jira, Asana, Trello or Slack?

Not yet. We chose to ship the product complete at what it sets out to do, with third-party integrations following as demand proves them out. They're on the roadmap, alongside a public API and single sign-on.

Does the product monitor what my team does on their computers?

No, and it never will. There are no screenshots, no idle detection and no activity monitoring. That's surveillance, and it contradicts what this product sets out to be.
