One click to start, one click to stop. The timer stays visible on every screen and keeps running when you close the tab or switch devices — because the start time lives on the server, not in the browser.
The last project you used is already selected, there's a keyboard shortcut, and no form in the way. Start a timer while another is running and the previous one is closed automatically — no error message for you to resolve.
If the connection drops, entries are held on your device and upload in order as soon as it returns. You don't have to do anything, and nothing depends on you remembering to sync.
Synced, pending or failed: it's on screen. If something couldn't upload, you see why, fix the date or the project and resend. There is no discard button.

Forgot to start the timer? Enter the duration directly: "3 hours on project X, yesterday". Retroactive editing is part of the normal flow, not an exception.
